Amazing coffee and atmosphere. Spent the morning here working and got a large latte, given in a to-go cup, and then a 12oz cap, for here. Both drinks were very good but the cappuccino takes the cake. The dryer, foamier, slightly sweet milk, contrasting the smooth stark bitterness (but in no way over-roasted) espresso was unmatched and unparalleled.

Really good atmosphere as well. Cozy place on a cold day with a wide open seating area and plenty of people to create a background buzz that is perfect for productivity. Prices were extremely reasonable. I'd come back over and over!

They also have quite the extensive food menu, which I did not try, but plenty of people were eating and it all looked great! The pasty window is tempting - could see myself gorging my self on the entire case with ease.

Stopped in for breakfast. I had the breakfast sandwich with ham, cheese, 2 scrambled eggs, spinach and tomato on a brioche bun. It was good, I added chipotle tabasco. I had a side of tater tots, they were very crispy... some of the best I've ever had. The cold brew was good.
My girlfriend had the two eggs breakfast, she said the bacon and toast were really good. The eggs were just average. She said her coffee was the best she's had so far in AK.
It's counter service, pick a table and they bring it to you. The wait for our good was about 20 minutes, but it was pretty busy at the time (10:30am). The food was good... definitely better than sandpiper!

Great little place for a nice breakfast and beautifully prepared coffee beverage.

Breakfast for four here this morning. I had the two egg breakfast which was plenty big enough to keep me full until noon.  The potatoes were excellent, but too much for me to finish. The toast was perfect.

The expression beverages were beautifully prepared with a nice design on top.

Prices were reasonable and service was friendly.

Best breakfast we've had in Juneau.

I really loved the vibe in here most of all. We were visiting over Christmas break and the place was packed full of locals in this open and inviting space. We sat by the windows and enjoyed people watching in the gentle snowfall.

We were directed to order food/coffee in the back, which wasn't at all painful like some reviews made it out to be. We decided on the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the adobo loco moco.

The food was good for what it was. The loco moco was exactly what I expected, and I was satisfied with this fusion of Filipino and Hawaiian cuisines. Their adobo sauce was definitely on point with a noticeable tang coming from the vinegar.

The hot chicken sandwich was a little less successful, in that it just... wasn't hot. I've always clamored to try a proper Nashville hot chicken, and this wasn't it. Still, not a bad sandwich in its own right. Borderline impressive coming from a place that primarily serves as a cafe.

We were on a dirty chai kick while in Juneau, and The Rookery probably made the best one we had. The service was friendly and I'd be more than happy to stop by again if I ever find myself back in Juneau.

Great food in a small cafe off the main streets. Had the soup and sandwich of the day combo which was fairly inexpensive. Carrot ginger soup in a giant cup and roast beef with onions half sandwich. Plus a large selection of teas served in the same size cup.
